Easy Meal Ideas: Vegan Full English Breakfast

Continuing on with the vegan breakfast ideas, we have a full English breakfast!

If you find yourself with a little bit more time on your hands and are tired of having Oatmeal and Smoothies,  and want a nice breakfast for Sunday morning. The vegan Full English Breakfast is a pretty classic breakfast that we found in vegan and veg-friendly restaurants all over the UK. Before going vegan we'd never really thought about eating baked beans, tomatoes or mushrooms with breakfast but we really like it now.

There really isn't that many places to order a vegan full English in Canada so why not make it at home, right?
Here you go.



Tofu Scramble
1 Can Baked Beans in Tomato Sauce (Be careful not to accidentally buy Pork and Beans)
Potatoes (Hashbrowns)
Vegan Sausages
Vegetable Oil
Salt and Pepper
Vegan Butter


Start the hashbrowns first as they will take the longest to cook. For the hashbrowns, we either make them shredded or as home fries. Either way, what we do is cut up the potatoes into cubes for homefries (or shred them with a cheese grater) then put them in the microwave until they are just cooked not overdone. Then we toss them in a bit of oil and Italian spice and then toast them up in the oven or toaster oven until crispy at 425F 220C.

While the hashbrowns are cooking start on the rest of the breakfast. You may need a few different pans for this recipe. Follow the instructions to make tofu scramble.

Heat up baked beans on the stove or in the microwave.

Slice mushrooms and then saute in a pan with oil until soft.

Slice tomatoes and then fry with a little oil until soft.

If you bought some vegan breakfast sausages then follow the instructions to cook those.

Once everything is pretty much ready to go then pop your bread in the toaster and toast as desired. Use vegan butter for the toast and enjoy your vegan full English breakfast.

That's pretty much all there is to it. Season with Salt and Pepper as desired. The hardest part is timing it right to all be done and hot at the same time. If you use the microwave to speed up the hashbrowns you can have this breakfast made in 30-40 minutes.
