Easy Meal Ideas: Breakfast Smoothie

We started off this series with our go-to Oatmeal recipe. For some people, oatmeal doesn't have a home in their lifestyle. So for today's recipe, we give you another one of our favourite money saving breakfast smoothies. Maybe smoothies have a better chance at making it into your life? Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so don't miss it!


Here is our simple and easy breakfast smoothie recipe:

2 bananas
1/2 cup frozen berries
1 tbsp ground flax seeds
1 cup plant-based milk (we prefer soy) add more as required
a handful of spinach (optional)

If you are adding a handful of spinach put it in first. Next put the bananas and frozen berries in the blender. Then add the plant-based milk. Then add the ground flax seeds. This is our preferred order to avoid ground flax stuck to the sides and to make sure the spinach is well mixed.

Once the ingredients are all in it's time to blend until the smoothie is smooth. ;) All done. This is enough for 2 people to have a tall glass so share.
