Natural Healthy Foods Sample Sunday and 3 Three's Cafe
We had a lazy day on Saturday since it was pouring rain. We planned on going to the Malvern Hills to do some hiking but we weren't up for hiking in the rain. We had thought about going today, but the trains aren't that reliable on Sunday's.
We decided to make the most of Sunday. We started off with a run on the canal which is an interesting place to go for a run. Then we decided to do a little Vlog about Birmingham. We checked our facebook events and saw something going in Digbeth. We made our way over to Natural Healthy Foods for Sample Sunday. (An event the owner put on to help people see what different vegan products taste like.)
Christians marching to support the migrants |
There was quite a lot of people marching, socialists, communists, different trade unions, etc etc.
They were making tons of noise, beating drums and screaming in microphones.
We cut through the march and made our way to Natural Healthy foods.
Inside Natural Healthy Foods they had a bunch of samples like chocolate. We browsed around the store and had some free samples. They had free tea as well.
Here we are outside high on chocolate and finished our shopping.
Digbeth has lots of cool grafitti everywhere like that crazy creature. That building is where Pirlo's Dessert Lounge is located. We went there for a Birmingham Vegans event before. They have vegan waffles.
There was lots of people out on a Sunday afternoon.
The sky was very clear unlike Saturday which was completely miserable.
The Cathedral at the Bull Ring looks interesting contrasting with the modern buildings.
That wall is a fountain. It has water flowing down it. |
We took a walk over to Poundland to get some cheap dried dates.
After we finished buying our dates we figured we'd get some coffee at 3 Three's.
We got a sandwich as well.
They have Soy Chai Lattes which are awesome.
After a nice day out we made our way back home which was not a very far walk and settled down for the evening. We are back at work for another three days, then off on another adventure!!
If you enjoyed our day out in Birmingham you may enjoy our time "Living it up in the City" when we first moved here.
those sandwiches looks so yummy! By the way, Birmingham is in my bucket list this year when I get back to the UK. I plan to travel there alone and by looking at your photos, I think I will love the place. :)
ReplyDeleteThey are! We go to 3 three's very often. Birmingham is a great city.

It was delicious. They actually just started doing a Matcha latte now!
DeleteThese photos are gorgeous! It's almost like we are there with you! I love the idea of a shoppe giving out samples.
ReplyDeleteI've lost count how many times I've been to Trader Joes, tasted a sample, and bought the item right then and there (probably 9 out of 10 times I'd end up buying it!). I think it's such a great way to try things before you buy them and is also great way to introduce people to vegan food (like in your case)!
It was a great day. We definitely bought more than we originally planned!
DeleteSounds like a great weekend. A little ho, a little hum and a lot of love. lol
ReplyDeleteIt was a great day.
DeleteLovely photos! I'm glad that you didn't let a rainy day stop you from enjoying and exploring. I'd love to try those chocolates :)
ReplyDeleteSometimes it is easy to just stay home. Glad we went out for the day.
DeleteThank you for letting me spend the afternoon with you. I enjoyed your pictures. I would love to go to a vegan sampling! That would convince me more based on flavors alone. I like finding those random walls of street art. It was interesting to see so many parades at one time for different things.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome! It was a busy day, that is for sure.
