Quick Stop Over in Nottingham
Our train trip was a two parter. Our first train was Lincoln to Nottingham. We had about and hour in Nottingham so we decided to make the most of our layover and walk around. We quickly took some pictures.
We walked past the Oldest Inn in England. It says so on the outside.
There was a few signs around the city centre with information on Robin Hood since the legend is associated with Nottingham.
We walked up to Nottingham Castle which was closed. There are caves underneath the castle you can explore as well.
We didn't have much more time in Nottingham. We quickly headed back to the train station and caught our train back to Birmingham. All in all it was a great weekend. Shout out to our Facebook friends for hosting us.
For more on Nottingham check out our post "Hidden Gems in Nottingham" when we spend the day there eating delicious food, exploring Nottingham more and seeing Batmans house!

That sounds like it would have been cool if the castle and caves had been open. Too bad.
