Dogs Trust and The National Space Centre
For a nice day trip, we decided to hit the road with Plantbased Nurse.
Not far from Birmingham is Leicester where the National Space Centre is located. We decided to go on a little road trip to Leicester to check out the National Space Centre. Next time you're in Leicester check out the National Space Centre.
We went to The National Space Centre to learn about our universe and see some space travel artefacts.
The centre was bigger than we were expecting which was a nice surprise.
It cost us £14 each to get in.
It was cool to see some space suits.
We went inside a space capsule.
They had a cool planetarium theatre where we watched an educational video on the universe called We Are Stars. Turns out we are all made from stars.

The National Space Centre was full of cool things to see and play with,

We went to the moon.
Crazy to see what technology was like when they started sending people to the moon!!
We saw a chunk of the moom. |
We saw the rockets.
They had some pop bottle rockets you could launch.
We also stopped at the Dog Trust to drop off some donations for their charity shop since it is near Leicester. Plantbased Nurse's mom had recently adopted a greyhound here and the centre was such a lovely place during the adoption centre that we wanted to give them our support.

DeleteOh that Space Centre seems to be an interesting place. I didn't know they have got it in Leicester:) Are you going to adopt a dog?
ReplyDeleteWe aren't no. Not today anyone. We would love one, but with all our travelling it wouldn't be ideal for us or the dog.
DeleteIt is a great place for an educational tour in primary or secondary school students.
ReplyDeleteIt would be great for Uni students too! We learned a lot.
DeleteSeems like a great trip! I always love Planetarium shows - I saw one once that zoomed in on the various constellations and showed the difference between each one while talking about how they came to be recognized. It was fascinating.
