Image
Välkommen to part two of our blog post on our trip to Sweden. If you haven't checked out part one then you can read it here: "Discover the Breath Taking Islands of Göteborg, Sweden"

We had a lovely first couple days Island hopping and falling in love with Sweden.
After taking it easy for the night we woke up and met our friends at the coach station to take the coach bus to the Bohus Fortress. (Festung Bohus)

On the March Birmingham Vegan's pizza night, a friend of ours, Von, was telling us about her upcoming trip to Gothenburg, Sweden. She suggested we join her and her partner on their trip. She told us flights were £9.99 each way with Ryanair. We didn't need any more convincing than that. We went home and booked the flights immediately. One of the best ways to travel is by picking your destination by how cheap it is. The last time we got flights like this was to Ireland in December. Since there are so many places that we want to see, it's best if we just go where the deals take us. Ryanair is quite good for having £9.99 flights.

Check out our guide if you are planning a trip to Gothenburg!

We looked on Expedia for hotels and were able to get a hotel for £249.46 for 4 nights. We booked at the Spar Hotel Majorna. It had really good reviews and is a 3 star hotel with 91% of people recommending it.

We stayed at our friend's house the night before our flight to make things eas…

28 Countries in the European Union

Image
We have been thinking about achievable travel goals and what would be a realistic as far as travel. We decided to set a goal to see the 28 EU countries. We are already on our way since we have been to Czech Republic, France, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and United Kingdom.

We aren't sure how long this journey will take us, but we thought it would be fun to give it a go. We will be updating this blog post as we see the different countries in the EU and writing a little paragraph about each place. Hopefully this will help others on deciding where to go on holiday!

The European Union has 28 member countries:

1. Austria (November 2016)

We did a back packing trip through Austria and managed to see Salzburg, Innsbruck and Bad Hofgastein. The train trip through the mountains was especially scenic. We enjoyed Austria for the Fortress in Salzburg, the Christmas Market in Innbruck and the mountain views in Bad Hofgastein.

March was a busy month for us. We hosted this month's Birmingham Vegan pizza night. It was a great turn out and the pizza was delicious as always. At the pizza night we got to talking to some friends about some trips they had planned. We decided to join them for a few of them. We booked flights for next to nothing and are joining them on a trip in April. We continued working to fund our travels.
That weekend we joined Plant Based Nurse for a trip to Evesham and Stratford-upon-Avon, We had a great day out. When we got back into Birmingham we got ready and then went to The Vegan Engineer's house for his birthday party. We had some drinks at his, and then went to Actress and Bishop. It was a good evening with friends and we hope The Vegan Engineer had a great Birthday.
