Don't Delay, Go to Bray, Today!

Our time in Ireland was going well.

The drive to Bray from Dublin was quick, especially compared to the coach ride from Cork we had just done.
We were able to get a Dublin city bus to Bray rather than a coach. We got off the city bus directly in front of our next hotel. We stayed at the "Royal Hotel and Merrill Leisure Club" which sounds grand and it was.  It happened to be much cheaper than a hotel in Dublin on the weekend.

We checked in and went to see our rooms. This was the nicest place we booked in Ireland and we planned to just relax here.

After we dropped off our stuff, we found our way to a huge Tesco to buy food for dinner. It was about a 15 minute walk away.

They were undergoing renovations which explains why it was so cheap to stay there.
The hotel lobby had a cozy Christmas feel to it.
We wanted to see Bray so walked down the street to the water front.

Apparently the harbour bar supports marriage equality. :) Yarrr the harbour barrr.
When we approached the water we could hear the noise of a thousand birds.. We got closer and saw many swans, geese and ducks making a ruckus.

Since it was so dark it was hard to get a good picture of the birds.

We made our way down to the beach.
We walked along the waterfront. It was a lovely evening for a walk.

After we walked the whole water front, we made our way back to the hotel. We hung out in our room watching TV.

The next day we slept in until noon, then got ready.

We went for a walk back to the water front to see what it looked like in the daylight.
Outside our hotel

It was pouring out and we were instantly soaked. We were so happy to have walked the waterfront last night.

We quickly took pictures then headed back to the hotel.
We warmed up, then made our way to the hotels swimming pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub. (The real reason we choose this hotel.) We wanted a relaxing couple days to go along with our busy holiday.

After we were nice and relaxed from the hot tub we got changed for dinner. We checked out the Chinese and Thai restaurant "Kainai" which was down the street from our hotel.
Stir fry.
After dinner we went back to our hotel to hangout in our hotel bar McGettigan's which is a chain of Irish Bars. It seemed to be popular since it was newly opened.
Had some beers.

We had a good time at the pub just talking and enjoying the atmosphere. Later we headed to our rooms and went to sleep.

The next morning we checked out of the hotel at noon and took the city bus back to Dublin.
